Devour - Inhuman Existance demo 1993

This is a death metal rarity (I hope)! Devour features Roger Patterson's brother on drums and backing vocals by Kreator's Millie on two of the tracks. To me, this demo has similarities to Obituary - but then again, I'm not the biggest death metaller. According to metal archives this is the only release by Devour.

Enjoy

Witch Hunt - Darkened Salvation demo 1995

This is Witch Hunt's "Darkened Salvation" demo from 1995. This is blackened/thrashy death metal. The demo is pretty cool, personally I find the vocals awesome - a bit similar to Generic's vocals - though, of course, more deathish. I don't know anything about this band except what is written at metal archives and the guy who sold me this tape said this is definitely their best release.
Note: the audio is a bit sucky at points on "Prophecies of a Great Plague" but you'll have to suffer through it.

Enjoy.

Danse Macabre promo tape

Here's another goodie I found on eBay. Danse Macabre (British band) sent this tape to a venue sometime in the 80s in order to secure a gig. This is a two track promo with the tracks "Solitude" and "Deathwish". DM later changed the lyrics and the title of "Solitude" to "Jester's Farewell". I having a hard time "fitting" this to a genre, is sounds like a mix of dark/gloomy punk rock mixed with some slight progressive elements - like a punkier version of Iceland's Icecross.

Enjoy.

Eisiger Wald - Sur le chemin de la déliverance

Eisiger Wald (German for Icy Forest) is amazing. This is a one-man-black-metal-band from France, not part of LLN (I'm basing this assumption mainly because it's actually possible to pronounce the name). Anyways, the genre here is depressive black metal. I don't know if this qualifies as a rare tape since there's only 100 copies of it - but in the end it really depends on "supply and demand", no? This has got a slight Burzum-vibe, so if you like Burzum - this might be right up your alley!

Enjoy.

Skulldiggers promo/demo tape 1984

Here's a rare treat! I bought this tape on eBay last year, I think. Can't believe I got it as cheap as I did.
Anyways, Skulldiggers are a hardcore band from Boise with Paul and Onj from Septic Death on drums and bass respectively. The band plays slow/melodic (slower than Septic Death at least) hardcore with a bit of "whoa-ooos" like The Misfits. Lyrically it's a horror-oriented, again as The Misfits, as opposed to Septic Death's bacteria-infested-nuclear-like-world-view. The tape has a "Green Feast" and a "Rot" side. The songs on the "Rot" side sound identical to the songs on the "Green Feast" side, so this upload includes only the "Green Feast" side. If anyone has any additional info or live songs, don't hesitate to get in touch!

Band info:
Brad K. - Guitar
Onj (Septic Death) - Bass
Paul (Septic Death) - Drums
Brad A. - Vocals

Recorded in 1984 by H. Wise.
