Black Flag 1981 demos.

People have told me that this is in fact the "Damaged Sessions" from 1981, but I'm not sure what to believe. Fact is, it sounds more like Dez than it sounds like Henry - and I would imagine that the "Damaged Sessions" would feature Henry on vocals, since he was singing on Damaged, no? Besides these "demos" includes versions of "American Waste" which sounds almost identical to the one found on the "Six Pack" single. Anyways, its a pretty good listen and definitely worth checking out if you're into Black Flag.

Rudimentary Peni at St James Church '82

Here's a live show with the great Rudimentary Peni at St. James Church in London in  16-01-82. The sound quality is surprisingly good compared other live recordings (by any band) I've heard. If you don't know the band then go to either their wiki or their myspace. The band still puts out records (occasionally), so go ahead a buy something.

Tracklist:
Cosmetic Plague, Play, Teenage Time Killer, Zero Again, Media Person, Subdued Violence, Tower of Strength, Mice Race, Blind Dogs, Dead Living, Bloody Jellies, The Gardener, B-Ward, Farce, Hearse, Sacrifice, Him Hymn, Crazy Chain, The Bile Ball, Cosmetic Plague (cuts off). The total length of the show is 34:05 mins.

RP stuff can be bought here and on eBay.

Picture is unrelated.

S-Haters discography

S-Haters (originally stood for School Haters according to the insert in my copy of Death of a Vampire 7") were an amazing British deathrock-ish-gothic-post-punky-wave-kinda-thing. I can't help to think of them as a mix of The Magits and Rudimentary Peni.
While this might not have same anarcho vibe as RP or perhaps Part 1, I suspect that these band played together occasionally (despite that RP didn't play live that much). Someone describe them as Joy Division meets RP.
This band started in the late 70s and had several line-up changes, they had 30 different members (mostly drummers) and even Nick Blinko was in the band briefly.
At first their records were released on RPs label, Outer Himalayan, then later on Midnight Music.

This upload includes all their records; Death of a Vampire 7", Stories as Cold as the Irish Sea 7", Come 12", Solitary Habit 12" (the two track version 7" is frequently on eBay - for $1!!) and the White Noise 12". They also had two tracks on The Thing From The Crypt 12" comp which was uploaded here.

Enjoy.

Casbah - Russian Roulette

Okay, here it is. THE most definitive thrash metal 7" ever fucking produced. EVER! This is a japanese thrash metal band formed in '83 by the singer Taka Hatori and this is their second release from 1986. I don't know what else to say than this band fucking rips! Some of the fastest, thrashiest, brutal, "axe-beating" ever produced. The band would frequently use face paint by painting Iron Crosses all over their faces! Doesn't get more badass than that. Period.

This single is frequently on eBay - and can usually be bought for $20-$40.

More info here, and there are several clips on youtube too.

Funeral Address - The Collection

My history with this band is essentially the same as with Texas Vamps. One track with the Texas Vamps and one track with Funeral Address was ripped via StationRipper by a friend of mine. The first song I heard was Orange Flight and I fucking loved every second of it.
Funeral Address was a death/goth rock band from somewhere in Germany. I have no idea if they released anything else than this CD-R compilation (in 2001) which you could buy from their website (it's down now). The tracks on the compilation are from 1990 and 1992 - twelve tracks in total. They changed their name to Fallen Apart in 1994.
Someone uploaded one of the tracks to youtube that you can check out before you download.

Texas Vamps - collected works.

I guess it has been 4 (maybe 5) years ago since I first heard of the Texas Vamps. A friend played me their "hit", If I don't wake up Today (featured on the Kaliffornian Deathrock comp), and I was hooked immediately. I listened to that track endlessly for 2 years until I realized they had 4 more tracks on their myspace page - and then finally someone shared this!
Texas Vamps were a deathrock band, who existed between 89-92. I'd like to think that their sound is quite unique - it's got a heavier edge than most of the "trad-goth" bands, and I like that. They were part of the Hollywood scene and played shows with Christian Death, Shadow Project, London After Midnight and more.

This upload includes two tapes they released, along with a live show at the Whiskey from 1992. I took the liberty to edit some tags, adding pictures and such.

Enjoy.
